Pumpkin Patch Candy Drive October 13, 2004
The Jackson County Recreation/Parks Department sponsors the Pumpkin Patch in downtown Sylva annually in celebration of Halloween. The Department provides the neighborhood houses with candy to give out to all of the trick-or-treaters that come out to enjoy the supervised, safe, and fun event. For the success of this program, we rely on the excitement and generosity of the community to donate the majority of the candy we provide. This year, we're asking our members and guests of the Recreation Center to help us out. And in return, we're going to give something back. When you come in to work out, bring an unopened bag of candy, and we'll enter your name in a drawing for the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Recreation Center. The gift can be redeemed for any program or service offered through the Department. The more bags of candy you donate, the more you increase your chances of winning. We are currently accepting donations, and will continue through Friday, October 29th.
