Pool will close for the season on Saturday, August 15, 2009
 Roscoe Poteet Swimming Pool located on Municipal Drive in Sylva is owned by the Town of Sylva and is operated by the Jackson County Recreation/Parks Department. The Sylva pool is open from late May through August. Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The Sylva Swimming pool offers a kiddie play area with dumping buckets, mushroom fountain and spray attractions, restrooms, hot showers and concessions. There are a limited number of chairs and loungers available and they are on a first come first serve basis, so it's a good idea to bring your own.

 Red Cross Certified Swim Lessons are offered for ages 3 years and above Monday - Friday 5:15 - 6:00pm. Cost is $25 per session.
