It is with regret that we announce that the Jackson County July 4th Fireworks celebration displayed from the Old Jackson County Courthouse will not be held this year. With the construction of the new Library complex now under way, it would be impossible to have our show from this location. We have looked at alternate locations but again these are too costly, not safe and would not provide the quality that has become the standard for this event. We are very excited about the construction of the new library complex and we look forward to its completion. We will evaluate the construction site next February for the 2010 display and we hope to be able to have the fireworks when construction is completed.
